The Entertainment Industries Council operates on a three tired approach: Education, Resource and Recognition. We begin by conducting Picture This! forums where we identify "what people know", "what they don't know", and how we can better inform audiences about important health and social issues. These communication priorities are then taken back into the creative community, in the form of entertainment and journalist briefings. All the while, EIC's First Draft Technical Assistance is there, ready and waiting, to connect writers, producers, actors, journalists and others within the creative and news media community to experts in Science, Engineering and Technology with the ability to help them tell more inspiring, more authentic, more relatable and more exciting stories about these important career paths. EIC the recognizes those who embody the positive power of entertainment and media, by producing content utilizing prioritized messaging, with annual SET Awards.

The SET Awards are presented to movies, TV series, comic books, music, DVD, digital content, radio and television news programs, print and online journalism for accurate and impactful entertainment portraying and promoting the fields of science, engineering, technology and math. Students representing the future generations in these fields are showcased in the "Student Innovation Exhibition," and they participant alongside entertainment industry, media and corporate partners in the engaging, star-studded ceremony event, exemplifying the ART of Making a Difference!
